Google Photos
Google Photos can automatically sync between your phone and computer:
- Automatic backup
With the right settings, Google Photos can automatically back up and sync photos and videos from your phone, tablet, and computer.
- Access from any device
Once set up, you can access your photos and videos from any device you’re signed into.
- Edit photos on your phone
Edits you make to photos on your phone will appear the same in Google Photos.
To turn on automatic backup, you can:
- Open the Google Photos app
- Tap your account profile icon in the top right
- Tap Photo settings
- Tap Back up & sync
Google Photos has some requirements for the photos and videos it can back up:
- Photos must be smaller than 200 MB and 150 megapixels
- Videos must be no larger than 10 GB
- Images smaller than 256×256 pixels are ignored
If you’re having trouble syncing Google Photos, you can try these steps:
- Check your internet connection
- Make sure the Backup and Sync tool is installed and configured correctly
- Verify that all necessary folders are selected for sync
- Check that there’s enough storage space on your computer
