There is a facility in Whatsapp to link another device. For an Android device go to:
To make the linked device the primary device:
1.Take a Whatsapp backup on the primary device
2. log out of whatsapp on the linked device
3. open whatsapp on the linked device, it will ask for a code from the primary device
4. Once the code is received and input this will log out the old primary device.
5. The new device will look for a backup and restore it and become the primary device.
